Description

This conference will move beyond the scope of a predominant focus on clinical work. It will provide multiple perspectives on the provision of adequate and appropriate care to young asylum seekers and refugees. The conference aims to address a number of key themes, including the importance of: sociopolitical contexts in the contribution and maintenance of distress, participatory approaches, and inter-disciplinary working.

Speakers include:

  • Dr Elaine Chase, Senior Lecturer, UCL Institute of Education and Principal Investigator, ESCR-funded "Becoming Adult" Project
  • Accounts by young people with lived experience of forced migration
